Also, for those who have not yet visited this place and its in their bucket list to visit this place at least once inI come with the to do list of the things that needs to be done in Goa.
I am just back from my amazing vacation from North Goa and the first thing I wanted to do is share my experience. There is so much of information that I want to share across, as this wasn’t my first trip. So, rather than blogging about a two or three-day itinerary, I thought of listing down 10 must visit places in Goa…
So, my favourite 10 must visit places in Goa are as followed:
1: Thalassa, Vagator, North Goa.
Thalassa restaurant, what do I say about this place. If you guys wish to enjoy amazing food, stunning view and mesmerizing ambiance along with awesome hospitality service and some soft lounge music with the interiors like Santorini island in Greece, this is the perfect place for you.
This place gives an amazing view of Arabian Sea set upon an edge of a high cliff . And being an open air restaurant it is just perfect for sunset view.
(P.S Highly recommended and must visit place for the best cream crowd too )
Also, there are greek dance performance and fire acts on Saturday evenings.
Curlies is one of the most famous and crowded beach in Anjuna, located next to shiva valley. This place has a psychedelic trance kind of ambience and is most famous among the foreigners. If you wish to enjoy and relax with some good music, cocktails and greek organic food, then this is a good place.
It is open all day and into the night, and is a well-known tourist spot for watching the sunset as well as exceptional party night with Dj’s from all around the world.
Also the Wednesday flea market in anjuna are a good treat for shopaholics.
(P.S the top sitting at curlies is a delight to your eyes)
Small lanes to reach out curlies.
Shiva Valley next to curlies.
Amazing panorama view from Curlies.
3: Arambol Beach,North Goa:
Its a gem of a place in goa. It is around 20 km away from baga beach .Less crowded and foreigners here are indulge in selling handicrafts and performing entertainment acts asvery limited shacks are there.
If you want relaxation with some peace you can visit thisbeach is considered as the best beach for hippies.
Behind the arambol beach is Sweet Water Lake .It is a fresh-water wonderland that arise in hot springs from within the Goan jungle. The lake is surrounded by greenery and coconut plantation. Elegance of this place is totally mesmerizing. One would Love to sit here calmly and enjoy the beauty of the nature.
4: Baga & Calangute beach:
Two most famous and most crowded beaches of north Goa are baga and calangute beach, also know as the commercialwas the hippies who discovered the untouched surroundings and blissful calmness and golden sands.
A large number of shacks are located here . Some of the most famous ones are Brittos, St.Anthonys,Zanzibar,Bottle bay,Sea Spray and the list goes on. One can enjoy variety of water sports here on the beach, with huge number of roaming sellers of jewellery ,scarfs, food items, lazer and many more. A day at baga beach is specially about sea food, fenny/wine and sand. Also a good place for the meet and greet of sunset.
This beaches are crowded day & night as there are some famous commercial pubs and clubs located near to these beaches, also there are some shacks open 24/7 for you to enjoy the beauty of Goa beaches with some romantic candle light and vibrant sound of the waves.
Most famous pubs next to baga beach is Titos and Cafe Mambo.
Fruit sellers on the beach
5: Morjim Beach,Goa:
Morjim beach is different from other beaches, as it is less crowded and more clean and up most refreshing. One can relax and enjoy the calming sound ofis renowned as the nesting place for Olive Ridley turtles.
Also it is second home for Russians who have taken over the beach and made it theirgood retreat resorts have also come up near to this area. Many people practice yoga at this beach. Limited shacks but quite sufficient for the place.
6: Club Cabana,Arpora,North Goa
If you are visiting goa and not able to make it to club cabana on a Wednesday or Saturday night, then your Goa outing is a waste if you are party freak.
Located on a small hill in Arpora area ..in close proximity to Anjuna and Baga area this place is self explanatory .I would say this is the best and a must visit place in Goa (P.S if you are in goa to party).
This place is located on a top of hill, so try to avoid wearing heels. It ia based on the neon theme,So now you know exactly what you need to wear for this clubbing night. Multi-levelled dance floors and the unique ambience has given it the name ‘The Nightclub in the Sky.’ The DJ play mix of everything from disco beats to techno tunes till late night . Though there are limited options in the food menu, but varieties in liquor is up to thecrowd of foreigners as well as Indians are seen there.
7: LPK water front,candolim,North Goa
LPK club initials stands for Love Passion Karma, which is nicely sculptured by the amazing statues crafted over there. This place is covered by lake from 3 sides giving the venue an amazing view . Caves like structure is given to this place as it is one of the most famous night club to explore delicious cuisine and soothing music. If you are done with the music, you can just step out of the dance floor and enjoy the serene beauty lake side.
Also this is a trending and famous location for weddings now a days.
8: Saturday Night Bazaar
Saturday night bazaar situated in arpora. One of the best place to shop fancy stuff in north Goa. This bazaar can be explored only on Saturday nights. Variety of things can be shopped at this bazaar starting with footwear, handlooms, dresses, bags, jewellery, souvenir and many more. Also there are lots of amazing options such as food stall with live music and entertainment acts. And there is no entry fee for the flea market as well.
As I have only listed about north Goa,doesnt mean south Goa is not an excellent place.
South Goa is mainly about good resorts with private beaches. If you are planning a trip with family, you can definitely opt for this option as you can spend some quality time together while enjoying the beaches. This area is quite clean and peaceful, as there are no pubs or clubs nearby to this place .Except the ones which are in the resort itself.
Best way to commute in Goa is to rent a bike or car .
Though I will recommend to rent a bike to enjoy the real feel of Goa. Also, the lanes in Goa are really narrow so its better to ride down with a bike rather than a car.
